    What you can expect from a local Chinese take out spot in NYC. This is not known for sit down eating even though they have tables and chairs. The environment is bad as it can get but that's usually common for these take out places. The food is great and cheap for NYC prices. Best one in the area.

    No thrill Chinese take out and probably one of the last good affordable brick and mortar take out place in the area. Food is tasty and filling. My go-to place for lunch. My favorite is the roast pork broccoli with white rice.

    While on workation Touring D.C and N.Y. I was in search of a perfect parking spot for my Motorcoach while waiting on my group. Boom, perfect I found a spot right in front of Golden City Chinese Restaurant. Now, because the restaurant was in between two smoke shops, in my silly head I felt hungry immediately (I'm always hungry lol). Upon entering, the restaurant didn't look like much, old tables, poor lighting but this is N.Y., where everyone grabs a bite to eat and hurries on. I luv the vibe and enjoy everything about the state. I'm selective when it comes to Chinese food but while scanning the menu I found Singapore rice noodles. I was standing to the side and peeping how the owner was interacting with the other patrons, I ordered. My order was complicated because I didn't want this or that, can I add this and that? She didn't have a problem with my complicated order but repeated what I wanted and didn't want in my order and asked if that was all? It took about 15 minutes for my order up and I couldn't wait to grub grub. My food was just as I imagined, however I desired more shrimp. All in all, my Singapore rice noodles was perfect and I had enough for my dinner later that evening. As with all my reviews, 5 stars for service #1, portion size and clean establishment. When I'm in the area again, I'll most definitely return.
